The thing is, I saw you out in the showroom. I was over by the tire display? I just thought to myself, all of a sudden, that we had something in common. A natural chemistry, if you will. And I had a feeling that something big was going to happen. To both of us. That we were, in fact, meant to be together.
You got all this, at the tire display?
You didn't feel it?
No. I did, however, feel you slamming me into the wall.
That, was an accident. An oversight. Just an unfortunate result of the enthusiasm I felt knowing I was about to talk to you.
“Books loved anyone who opened them, they gave you security and friendship and didn’t ask for anything in return; they never went away, never, not even when you treated them badly.”—Cornelia Funke (Inkheart)
When you finish reading a book and yes, it has a glorious and wonderful ending but your heart is still ripped out of your chest, stomped on, re-filled with angst fluid then stapled back in because BASICALLY it's like a really close friend just died suddenly.
Details as far as the title, plot, and release dates have yet to be announced, but just the fact that we can expect more from Ms. Rowling is exciting enough! But be warned: the novel is going to be very different from the Harry Potter series.
J.K. Rowling made a statement recently regarding the announcement:
“Although I’ve enjoyed writing it every bit as much, my next book will be very different to the Harry Potter series, which has been published so brilliantly by Bloomsbury and my other publishers around the world. The freedom to explore new territory is a gift that Harry’s success has brought me, and with that new territory it seemed a logical progression to have a new publisher. I am delighted to have a second publishing home in Little, Brown, and a publishing team that will be a great partner in this new phase of my writing life.”
